What I love about: Theatre!
Although I have mentioned on kkspassion that I love the theatre, I thought that it would be appropriate on this Blog and do a post on why I love it and my recent experience behind the scenes.
The live productions I have seen in my life are:
The live productions I have seen in my life are:
- Annie
- Mamma Mia
- The Wizard of Oz
- Jersey Boys
- Wicked x3
- Grease
- Once
- Plus other ametuer, but equally as brilliant productions!
And I have recently been in the batstheatreco production of 'PrincessWhatsHerName' and I absolutely loved every moment of it.
The thing about live theater is that there are so many aspects to concentrate on - props, costumes, actors, light, sound, audience, not to mention the story and all of the work that went into making the story live!
I adore theatre more than I adore movies, the live aspect of it, brings out the magic and wonder of the things dreams are made of. I have very vivid dreams and remembering every detail and multiple dreams is usually the case when I wake up. I try to convey this in my writing [fiction] and theatre seems to bring out this similar feeling i get of magic and mystery.
Even after seeing Wicked, the musical 3 times, I still can't get over the magic and the slight of hand in giving the best performance, always on the edge of my seat.
I have never been in love, but I think the feeling that I get after watching a performance like this is pretty comparable!
